Academic researcher and environmental health educator Priyanka (Pri) Bandara, has sacrificed a great deal in order to dedicate her time to researching and raising awareness about the dangers of electromagnetic radiation. A member of the non-profit group ORSAA, Pri collaborates with a large group of scientists and health professionals around the world to educate and create safeguards in an industry that is, for the most part, unregulated and unaccountable.
Testifying live via Zoom link as part of the Commission of Inquiry Weaponisation of the Biosphere in June, Pri outlines a vast and ever-growing body of science being willfully ignored and suppressed by governments, telecommunications companies and international regulating bodies, whose profits take precedence over the health of the people.
With 5G — the next generation of wireless technology — being rapidly deployed in every part of the world, radiation exposure levels will increase exponentially, she tells us, posing a serious threat not only to our health but to our very survival. Current global standards for safe exposure levels are grossly outdated, based on studies done over 20 years ago when radiation levels were a fraction of their current levels. Furthermore, these standards only address the effects of ionising (heating) radiation, ignoring thousands of peer reviewed studies showing significant biological effects of non-ionising radiation, including oxidative stress, cell damage, infertility and cancer.
Despite the refusal of government and industry, and particularly the World Health Organisation, to acknowledge the available science and revise the global safety standards, the voices of a growing number of doctors, scientists and citizens are being heard, as local councils and cities worldwide increasingly calling for a halt to the roll out until 5G can be proven to be safe.
